Awards and obsessions

This is my award day today, so you will be reading more about me. I will try to keep it short and sweet, so you won’t miss any special Friday night events and, hopefully, won’t need a cup of espresso to keep you going.

First of all, I've been given this "Fabulous blog" award by Erica and Monika. Thanks you so much, girls! The rules for this award:

At the moment, my mind is occupied by the following things…

1. My course work… because I need to finish researching the subject I am writing about and submit everything by the end of next week.

2. Red lipstick… I suddenly felt like buying one. I love the colour red and I think it would be perfect for autumn, when the skin becomes lighter and almost porcelain-like. I haven’t made my choice yet, but am quite tempted by Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent or Guerlain, not only because they have beautiful rich shades with velvet finish, but also because I am a magpie when it comes to packaging and love everything pretty and shiny. I’ve also just watched “The Edge of Love” and loved the reds they used on Sienna and Keira. I thought it was incredibly sensual.

3. Fashion books…. I have this craving to learn more about history of fashion, get more knowledge about designers and styles, so I’ve created a wish list of books I would love to read. I am going to get one book a month, so I can constantly feed my brain and please my eye by looking at beautiful illustrations and photos.

4. Chocolate soufflé and macaroons… I would love to learn making them. Intensely flavourful warm chocolate soufflé with a little hot chocolate sauce or a crisp beautiful macaroon and a cup of coffee seem like a perfect dessert for autumn.

5. Bath with essential oils… It makes me feel beautiful and relaxed and I adore the smell of essential oils. It’s such a wonderful treat on a cool and grey day like today.
