Long Hairstyle Updo Hairstyles for Women 2009

Long Hairstyle Ideas presents Long Hairstyle Updo Hairstyles for Women 2009

Your hair is one part of your body that is probably the most important for you style and looks. You will find a vast array of hairstyles suitable for each and every category of hair lengths and face cuts.

You would be wise to consult a hair stylist regarding which hairstyle would suit you best, and which would enhance the beauty of your more attractive features, and tone down the ones which are less attractive, in order to make your face look even more striking. Your hairstyle is one thing that tends to enhance the shape of your face, but if not made up in the proper manner, it can have undesired effects, to say the least.

To get the most out of your hair, it is important that you keep it in good condition, and make sure that you don’t suffer from dry hair. Hair care products containing Emu Oil, Panthenol or Jojoba oil raise moisture content and improve hair elasticity.

20 things about me

I was tagged by beautiful Anna from The Style Diet who I adore to bits to tell you 20 things about me.

1. What is your favourite item of clothing?
I mentioned DVF dress once, so this time I am going to pick my dusty pink wool Marni dress. It’s incredibly cosy and I wear it a lot in autumn and winter.

2. What are your biggest obsessions?
I prefer to use “passions”. Fashion, shoes, lingerie, nutrition, dogs, fitness, cooking, travelling, art, books and music.

3. Who inspires you?
People who make their dreams come true and never stop believing.

4. Who is your favourite designer and why?
Bottega Veneta. It’s a perfect combination of timeless elegance, chic, colours, incredible craftsmanship and luxurious fabrics.

5. What is your favourite song ever?
I can’t really pick up just one song… but if I have to then I’d go for “Smile”.

6. What is your favourite song right now?
I am listening to my Bon Jovi CDs at the moment, so I am going to pick “Welcome to wherever you are” from “Have a nice day” album.

7. If you were a sweetie what would you be?

Pistachio or Praline Macaroon from Laduree or Pierre Hermé.

8. Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet - what words would you use to describe your rainbow?
Happy halo

"French Kiss", "Casanova", "Fracture", "City of Angels", "How to steal a million", "Under the Tuscan Sun"

Anthony Hopkins. He is incredible.

11. If you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you be?
Paris. No questions about that.

Coffee, Neroli, peony.

13. What are your 3 favourite tastes?
Chocolate, watermelon, anything with cinnamon.

14. What is your most treasured possession?
My photo album as its a memory keeper and some photos are simply irreplaceable.

15. What did you always want to be/do when you grew up?
Ballerina until the age of 8, vet until the age of 15, pianist until the age of 18. Then I went into accounting, but at the end became a nutritionist. Honestly.

16. If you were an ice-cream what flavour would you be?
Pistachio gelato.

17. If someone made a short film about your life, who would play you?
Me of course! I am vain and a control-freak (think Monica from “Friends”) and would also love to be pampered on set just like any movie star and get loads of free designer clothes, shoes and bags and have even more sent to me later when the movie is out.

18. What would your perfect afternoon consist of?
A walk somewhere beautiful, now with Oscar, coffee in a cosy little café where we can sit outside, talk, feel warm air on our faces and inhale beautiful smells.

19. If you were a flower what would you be?
Pink ranunculus.

20. Tell me one random thing... be it your favourite line from a song, scene from a movie or quote from a book.....or tell me about something that you love.

New Hot Long Hairstyles Trends 2009

Long Hairstyle Ideas presents New Hot Long Hairstyles Trends 2009

Long hairstyles are always gives a gorgeous look and improves the persanality. With the help of the long hairs we can do various types of the hairstyles which are matched to the face shape, hair and so many things which are closely inter related with the hair. Long hairstyles include long layers, lots of face-framing layers, some curly styles are getting great press cover
age also. The long hair style is hot, and that is why many women favour to wear lengthy, free-flowing twist rather than the popular short styles of the day. From days with long, flowing, soft tresses that gently move with the breeze of the wind to those classy dinners with your hair bundled up in a classy manner, long hair styles are just perfect ways to show off your lengthy, beautiful hair.

Lengthy hairstyles allow you to let down your hair, place it in pony tails, and bundle it up in decorative designs. For women with shorter hair lengths that designer longer hairstyles, there are hair extensions that are becoming more affordable and popular with the help of stars like Jessica Simpson who have promoted the use of extensions in producing lovely longer hairstyles. Extensions are great for women because they allow for different styling options without the need to grow out the hair or drastic changes and area also very complimentary pieces for ladies with thinner hair.

Long hairstyles are perfect for all of those that have coarse, thick hair because it can weigh the hair down and put it under control. Although long hairstyles aren't restricted to thick hair, there are several aspects of a long hairstyle to consider making the commitment.

Long hairstyles stand out as one of most glamorous and luscious hairstyles because they create a flow of hair that requires particular attention. Seeing long hair that shines and shimmers under the light is always a nice scene. A simple wave can make you hair look sexy and full of body.

With long hair, you have a few selections ready for you to pick from. Having an official party tonight? No problem! With long hair you can make a dazzling updo with a strong classic and elegant feel that no other length of hair can match. You can also braid your hair into a French braid for example. If you're on the go you can slick your hair back for a nice pony tail or give it a twist for more presentable look.

Long hair is not difficult to maintain. With a little bit of knowledge and plenty of practice you can be a pro in styling your hair to rival those done by the famous hairdressers. The first fact to be aware of is long hair does require better care than short. Also, when you consider the drying techniques and styling methods and the products required to get the “look,” then you realize long hair is more time consuming.

Long hair does not require washing everyday and can be left to dry naturally. This, alone, insures a healthier head of hair to work with. Hair that is not freshly washed is easier to work with and will hold the style longer. Once you achieve what is termed as “bra strap length hair,” you will find all sort of easy and fashionable ways to work with your beautiful asset.

Coffee, dates and shoes

On a rainy morning, early as always, I was sitting in front of my laptop enjoying a cup of coffee, a few dates (I guess, you thought it was about romance, but at this point it's just delicious something I like to eat) and this story. It was then when I saw a pair of beautiful Alejandro Ingelmo shoes. I must confess that I haven't really heard of him before, so I decided to do my little research as it would be silly not to since the almighty google is out there 24/7.

Google worked. It took me to Browns website, which I've intentionally ignored for the last few months as it's full of temptations for which I wasn't mentally or financially ready at this time of my life. Yes, I did find the shoes, but then I also noticed another pair of shoes I saw a few months ago and dismissed because of their price tag. The pumps were on sale.

Suddenly my brain was working on a different emotionally powered level. MY SHOES were there and my size was available. I had to have them because for me they were pure perfection. The colour would go well with my autumn bag and belts, the black would create a perfect look with a dress that's almost ancient now (better call it vintage, I suppose), but loved and cherished, so still in my wardrobe. I also dreamed of creating this special autumn look of black belted coat, wide classic trousers with rolled hems and tan coloured gloves to match the shoes... Oh, I let my imagination run wild... Then it was time to get back to reality. Unfortunately, even the reality craved the platforms.

At the end I did two things: I spent a day thinking and I asked my husband if it would be ok to buy a pair of shoes (and to be fair, I haven't bought any for a while). As the day went by the thought of having Ginas became stronger and, as a sweet cherry on a cupcake, S said "yes".

I made a cup of calming mint tea and placed my order, which I just received. They are perfect. I absolutely adore my new pumps and can honestly say that apart from my wedding shoes, these are the best ones I've ever had. Yes, the heel is high, but they are incredibly comfortable. I think I could run in them if I had to. Finally, the missing piece of my wardrobe jigsaw is found and I am going to enjoy every moment of it.

Confessions of a former style victim

"I never look at labels when I buy clothes... What really grabs me is whether clothes are comfortable or not. I LIKE TO FEEL FREE"
- Audrey Tautou, Vogue UK, August 2009

We often forget the last bit, don't you think? Even if we do not look at labels many of us still go for the look without any further consideration. I can honestly say that there were times in my life when I thought that I could walk in THOSE shoes or wear THAT dress simply because I liked the SHOES or the DRESS and didn't think much about the way I was going to feel in them. Yes, I would look attractive, otherwise I wouldn't put those things on to begin with, but often the clothes would be chosen for an ideal situation where the pavements are flat, there is no food to consume and, frankly, there is no need to move or breathe either. Sort of a stationary world of mannequins. I don't think I was a fashion victim, though. It was more about being a style victim, wearing BEAUTIFUL things and seeing the result as a piece of art (and so often art is not about function, but more about an emotional impact).

As I got older I realised that no matter how much I like a certain item it will never going to work if a) it does not fit you perfectly b) you really have to change your lifestyle in order to wear it. I still remember a horrible feeling of walking in very uncomfortable shoes simply because they added a special touch to the outfit I planned in my mind. Yes, I did look good, but what an excruciating pain I experienced a couple of hours later after we went for a walk! Almost as if something was drilling my brain, that's the only way to describe it (I am not even mentioning my poor feet here).

Another silly situation is to go out in a dress or top that's not perfect for you. All the glamour and sensuality you were after can be easily ruined if you keep adjusting it here and there and spend the evening fidgeting. Nobody would find this attractive.

That is why I always remind myself of how important it is to choose clothes that suit you and your personality and not the other way round. I still wear heels, but can spend ages shopping for my perfect pair of shoes. I know that once I found them I am going to think of looking beautiful and feeling free. Not about every single step I need to make in those shoes and whether or not I need to call a taxi now or a few steps later. I buy clothes that would help me express myself in every situation. I no longer pick up pieces that would require me to change my lifestyle in order to wear them, or go on a diet, so they fit me better. I just live and use my clothes to add more style and comfort to my life because this is the only way I can feel FREE.
