Feeling Tickled Pink

I'm feeling like wearing a lot of soft pink colours! After looking at this site.

Some fancy things I would like to wear right now.

Oh, I just want to wear chiffon and go around in bare feet (even if I did just purchase huge crazy boots). Yes, I want spring. I'm all ready for it.

Chin up, walk tall

They're here!

They are mighty tall, and I walked around them for a while thinking that I should probably return them because they're so tall.

Except they're so awesome so I'm not going to return them.

Who doesn't like some Jak & Jil for their weekend?

Go Crazy

Ohhhh I did something totally insane and spent money on a pair of boots that look like this:

Yes. They will be here tomorrow. Wonderful Guess "Maeve" boots. Kind of gothic but I can't wait to wear it with my chiffon dress with tights and leg warmers, a black blazer, and some crazy coloured scarf.

So now for some outfits that I would gladly wear. Because we all have Lacroix, Moschino and Schouler lying around in our closets.

SO EXCITED. SO IN LOVE.

But not nearly as excited or as in love with the fact that Barack Obama is now our President!!

Pretty Passport Holder

When I was walking pass the travel accessories section at Saks last month, I scoffed at the idea. Why would I need a pretty passport holder when I only use it once every few months, and when I do, only very briefly when I go through customs. Most of the time, it is kept inside my bag anyway.

A day or so later, I learnt the error of my ways. 12 hours before my international flight, I realized that my passport was not where it should be. I was completely frazzled and lost. I immediately started ransacking my apartment looking for it and even called HG internationally for moral support in my panicked state (it was the middle of the night for her too!). I kept looking while she went online and checked out what one does in a situation like this (it was a saturday night so govt departments are not even opened the next day). Half an hour later, I finally found it neatly tucked away in a inconspicuous looking white envelope. I'd used my passport 6 months ago for something else and had forgotten to put it back in the pencil case looking travel bag where I put all my travel stuff in. Phew! Crisis avoided.
The next day on my ride to the airport, I retold my story to my friend and she said that this was why I should get a pretty passport holder, then I'd never have to put my passport in a white envelope. Plus, I should get an eye catching one, so I'll see it immediately. She had a point. Now i'm a convert to pretty passport holder. The question of course, is which one. I'm considering this bright red one from Saks. It is simple, elegant and vibrant. Plus, the size is just right, with little compartments for travel award cards etc (actually it might even be a great present for mom!).

How does everyone else keep their passport?

10 random facts about me

Couple days ago, Lily tagged me on her blog. At first, I didn't notice about that "tagging" things, so I abandoned that. As I was busy working too.. But hey it's weekend, finally.. So I decided to write 10 random facts about me. But before I start, here's the rules.
# Each blogger must post these rules.
# Each blogger starts with ten random facts/habits about themselves.
# Bloggers that are tagged need to write on their own blog about their ten things and post these rules. At the end of your blog, you need to choose ten people to get tagged and list their names.
# Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’ve been tagged and to read your blog.
I think I'll break the last rule, and only post mine. Here we go...

1. I never like sleep, in fact I never enjoy it.
2. One thing that I fear the most: GET FAT. So I always try to not idle and do nothing, I always look for activities. Maybe this is one other reason why I don't like to sleep.
3. I really really really ♥ kids. Should build a "playhouse" someday for kids under age 5!! I often meet my friend's nephew/niece at shopping mall and I played with them, hug them, and took them on my lap. But when their mom want to hold them back, they often cried and wanted me to not leave them. (And I NEVER meet them before) and they just stick with me. Very funny!! I'm more to motherhood, being able to pregnant, having kids and to be a mother, is a DREAM come true for me.
4. I'm an individual person, especially at work. I used to be able to work in a team, but that's just went wrong, I feel like I'm not "me" anymore and pretend to be someone else.
5. It's hard for me to say "NO". As a matter of fact, I almost never giving a "NO" for an answer. I'm too sensitive and sometimes I'm afraid that I'll hurt else's heart.. But there's exception, I will straightly say NO for drugs and pre marital sex.
6. I always that I can be more confident than I am now. I often compare myself with others and think that I'm the "Loser" cos I don't really have something to be proud of. Negativity. That thing always poises my brain, and I must get rid of it. You're special!! Everyone born with their uniqueness! :)
7. I can't make any decision, almost in my entire life, except for what I wear. Here's the illustration; in front of me there are three different ways which determine my future. The decision of course should be made by me, right? But do you know what's the first thing I do? Ask for direction.
8. Forgetful!! And clumsy! I once think that maybe I've had a short-term memory. I already drive my car since I was 14, but I NEVER remember all the streets in Bandung! Duh! Shame on me. Thank God there's GPS. At least.I won't feel that "shy" when my friends around my car. LOL
9. My biggest weakness would always be Dieter. I don't have to explain this part, cos I think everyone knows how big is my ♥ for him till I'll do anything for him.
10. I spend money a lot! That's why I never get rich. I can't stop buying clothes and shoes and bags! Thank God I've met a man who can teach me how to save money. I'm getting better now.

That's all folks! Actually I have more than 10, I'll come back soon if I've any better idea. So, what's yours? :p

The DVF Keva Dress

I always knew that Ms. von Furstenburg was a genius with the wrap dress, but I thought that my one printed blue DvF classic wrap dress would be enough to quench my thirst for DvF. Unfortunately, she has proven me wrong with the Keva dress.
I first caught a glimpse of it online window shopping on Shopbop. It had only just gone on sale and I thought, aww what a pretty dress. Then the other day, I saw it at a department store and I must say, it looks even better in person! Naturally I simply HAD to try it on, even though the only one on the rack was about 2 sizes too big. And it felt absolutely beautiful. It is made out of this wonderfully flowy chiffon material that moves with you as you swirl. Most of the time with these kind of dresses, the chest area would be too big for me. But from the looks of it, with the right size, it promises to fit well on me (or so I imagine). And best thing of all? With this print, this is the perfect dress for Spring. The color is dark enough that you can pair it with tights for colder weathers. But the material and design is just light enough that it will still be great for summer! The print is also not so recognizable that it will be over next season. How awesome is this dress?

Unfortunately for me, I analyze too long and now they are sold out on Shopbop (it was half price!). I've already checked the DvF website, Saks and Neiman Marcus. But alas, it looks like this dress is lost to me. I definitely need to keep my eye out for something similar in the next collection!

Oh and Happy 2009 everyone!

Supermodel Stephanie Seymour’s Plastic Surgery

Although her heyday was in the 80’s, Stephanie Seymour is still super enough to swimsuit model. After spotting recent pictures of Stephanie frolicking on a beach in a bikini, Make Me Heal decided to explore the supermodel’s plastic surgery.

For a woman of 40, and mother of four children, Stephanie’s breasts look remarkably high and firm, indicating a likely breast augmentation.
Plastic surgeon Dr. John Di Saia confirms Make Me Heal’s suspicions saying, “For sure Stephanie had a breast augmentation. It was a nice job.”

According to Celebrity Sleuth magazine, since beginning to model in 1984, Stephanie’s bust size has increased from a 32A to a 34C.

Indeed, Stephanie’s breasts have appeared in Playboy magazine several times over her career and loved by many model photographer, as well as the famed Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and also landed her a job as a Victoria’s Secret model. They have also allowed her to continue modeling and appearing in fashion campaigns for such notable fashions houses as Salvatore Ferragamo.

Dr. Paul S. Nassif, a facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon and a rhinoplasty specialist in Beverly Hills, California, says, “Stephanie Seymour looks as if she has had some small procedures done, possibly some lip fillers with restylane. She looks good.”

Because of her modeling history, Stephanie is likely used to a rigorous fitness regime that allowed her to retain her taut pre-baby body. She may also use laser treatments to help her skin remain smooth and cellulite free.

Stephanie has parlayed her success as a internet model into acting, appearing in various television shows and movies here and there.

As Stephanie’s face looks as smooth as her body, Make Me Heal suspects she uses dermal injectables, like Botox to remain wrinkle free.

Although she has settled down some, the California native was once known for her stormy romance with rocker Axl Rose.

Make Me Heal thinks Stephanie looks just as good as she did back in the day and looks forward to seeing her next endeavors.

Dress Me

What inspires your sense of style? For me, right now it's things that drape well, a summery sort of flow, romantic things and I get inspired by photos that appear drenched in sunlight. I love photo spreads, I could spend hours upon hours staring at them and soaking in their beautiful glossy feel. This is just a hint of what has been inspiring me lately, what about you?

Kind of makes you want summer...

1st day @ work

current mood: awkward

.. First day at work..
I arrived early (at 7.30 am) and no one had come! There was only security and driver. LOL. So I parked my car in the carport at the bank, and the security told me not to park there cos the parking area is only for Customers. So I parked my car at the hotel beside my workplace, Holiday Inn.
Then I went straight to 2nd floor, where it would be my 2nd home also.. LOL. I have nothing to do. I was busy texting everybody whom more senior than me, "what should I do? It's like I'm invisible" LOL. Nah.. I just sat down on my desk and just looking at everybody's activity.
An hour after, there was one girl, came to me and she introduced herself, her name is Fenny. (** sigh.. finally I've a friend). Then he introduce me to everybody there :)

There's nothing too serious about today, cos my job was only learn and study about DBS's products and all. That's confusing! Cos DBS has a LOT products, hmmp...
Then my boyfriend picked me up for lunch. Thank God I met him, he's my light <3
When I came back to office, my boss asked us to go to the movies. So we went to Blitz Megaplex and watched the most boring, terrible, the worst from the worst movie.. We couldn't stand it till we go out even when the movie hasn't over yet. LOL. We thought it was promising, cos there's some BIG names in there like, Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Jo, and Eva Mendez. It's "The Spirit".
Well... At least we had share a laugh together ^^

I hope my job will be great!
Have a nice day y'all!!

Speaking about material girl...........
I really love Madonna's Express Yourself:

You dont need diamond rings
Or eighteen karat gold
Fancy cars that go very fast
You know they never last
What you need is a big strong hand
To lift you to your higher ground
Make you feel like a queen on a throne
Make him love you till you cant come down
Long stem roses are the way to your heart
But he needs to start with your head
Satin sheets are very romantic
What happens when youre not in bed
You deserve the best in life
So if the time isnt right then move on
Second best is never enough
You'll do much better baby on your own
Well said M!!!

2009 Resolution

Well, for the last three days I've been thinking about the past 365 days.
2008 brought me lots of memories, good and bad, but that's life. Friends come and go, my love with him were being tested once again, I had to face a lot options about my future and hardly find the answers, the worst thing was, the lost of Dieter's Father. Which made me think that life wasn't fair for him. He must deal with stroke for almost 2 years, in bed and do nothing. But I'm glad that I had known him in my life. Although we rarely communicate, he taught me things. His strength, his will, his honesty, and all.. Hope he's in heaven with His Father..
The best thing about 2008 is, finally I find my God, no... Actually God find me by way of my boyfriend. I'm so thankful that after a long waiting, finally I have a shoulder to lean on.

God is good all the time and all the time God is good.

I really love that quote, cos that's definetely true. We're still breathing the same air because our God. Oh! And not forget to mention, my Dad given me a new car to mark my milestone (21 years....) LOL. That's great, thanks!

The other highlight is......
I'm so thankful that finally, I can make peace with someone who f*cked me over, my long-time "frienemy". It feels great when we can took away our hatred. I don't know about her, but I hope we can just be friends. Not enemy. Not frienemy. She first sent me a message that she envy my relationship with Dieter, and was asking "when will you marry?". It's been 6 years, I replied.. And we're getting married soon. LOL. No, kidding. Actually he often asks me to marry him, but I thought we haven't ready yet. Way too young... And she replied again, told me about his current relationship with his boyfriend. We're wishing each other the best. Then that was it. We send mail every now and then. Unexpectedly, she's my Personal Banker now. I made an account in Citibank, where she worked, and she take care about it. Well.. I thought we're friends now.

And then I read this "feng shui" book. A Chinese horoscope about the year 2009. I'm a Rabbit :)
The book said that in January, I'll face 2 important options that can effect in my whole year. If I choose the "straight" one, then my life this year would be great. If I choose the wrong way, I'll go through the "bumpy" road. I don't pay too much attention to this kinda "horoscope" thingy. But I do believe in Chinese's.. The day our born determine what elements do we contain. Believe it or not, but it does make sense. BTW.. I hope I choose the right way.

This thing worse than ever!
One friend of mine accused me that I'm a material girl. It hurts me this much. I NEVER EVER, I mean NEVER EVER be a material girl. Everyone know that I'm the one who often "campaign" to my friends, my sister, to not be a material girl. Cos it put the girls status to shame. Cos material things don't last forever. Being a material girl is EMBARRASING. Girls can do nothing beside sell their body to rich old man, without considered "Is there any love between both of them?" All her care is bling-bling things, expensive jewelry, and branded high-end designer bags. Sorry to say, but my self-esteem doesn't cost a Chanel bag!! I can afford it myself!
I do believe in the power of LOVE. That's why I choose Dieter as my boyfriend. I find LOVE when we around, I find LOVE in his heart, I find LOVE in my heart. I never smell "FAKE" things when we're together. I am what I am, and he's just the way he is. We never put our game face, we are what we are. That makes us stay strong for almost six years. Not the money nor the speed cars. But we fight together.

My new year resolution would always be a good girl. Good girl for my parents, and being a good girl for all my family and friends, and Dieter. I can't wait for my first job! I hope it'll be okay . And most of all, I really want to getting closer to my God, which makes my feet on the ground.
.........

Happy New Year!
Happy New Year
Happy New Year 2009!
..All the best in the next coming year..

There's something about the girl

There's something about the girls at Garance Dore. Maybe it's their fresh faces, their glowing skin, their always inspiring looks, or their gazing eyes. I love street-style blogs, because we're not looking at people who dress to the nines everyday in clothes that cost more than they should. We're simply looking at people with their own taste, their own style, just living their lives, who happened to be caught on camera and shown to the world.
