Rental Recommendation: Valentino; The Last Emperor

Giancarlo Giammetti stands discreetly at a coffee shop in the Rome airport terminal. He orders an espresso, discreetly summons his bodyguard to pay, then waits impatiently in his tan traveling coat and dark suit to board his private plane. He, a chef, a valet, two butlers, five pugs, and a maid are waiting for one of Italy's most famous men: Valentino Garavani.

Matt Tyrnauer's film, Valentino: The Last Emperor, chronicles the daily life of the two men and their incredible talents: fashion and business. Valentino's creative eye has allowed him to design thousands of dresses for everything from the runway to the closets of Jackie O and Audrey Hepburn. And even in the midst of his retirement, the man who humbly claims that he "is a disaster at everything else in life" remains an international icon, just as he has been for the past 45 years.
